Idaho Pasture Pig Feeder Info
Feeder pigs are what we cull off and separate out from our breeding stock. The feeder pigs play an important roll in providing Idaho Pasture Pig pork meat. As a true grazing pig, they will grow with less grain inputs. Also, they will do less rooting if their diet is on point. We do double our mineral package to make sure they are getting the necessary vitamins and minerals they need to thrive. Idaho Pasture Pigs produce exceptional quality, marbled and juicy pork. With their docile nature they are fairly easy to manage and care for.
Idaho Pasture Pig Feeder Pricing
We currently offer Idaho Pasture Piglet Feeders for $200 with a $100 deposit. New litters born twice per year here on our ranch. We currently have 2 breeding gilts and 1 breeding boar that supply the feeder piglets. We take reservations on the piglets year-round. No deposit = no order. Your deposit is fully refundable if we cannot fulfill your order within a reasonable window or promised time frame. However, if you back out or change your mind, we reserve the right to keep the deposit. Our feeder pigs are typically barrows (castrated males). We wean and castrate at 7-9 weeks of age. Feeder buyers will have to sign a legal binding contract to not breed the feeder pigs.
Please note: Customers are responsible for paying any additional fees/costs for their pig, such as blood work, vet fees, and for health certificates for their particular state.
Please note: Pricing is subject to change without notice. The only way to be sure to lock in your pricing is if your deposit is already paid. Please reserve as soon as possible because we do have a long list of customers already! Feeder pigs are not registerable.
We look forward to offering breeding pairs and breeding trios in the future as we grow our Idaho Pastured Pig business. Be sure to sign up for our email list to get piggy updates!
