We raise and produce dorper sheep for meat. The reason we chose this breed is because their genetics are specifically wired for meat, not wool, so they produce less lanolin which gives wool lamb it's gamey flavor. Dorper meat is special because it is a mild, prime tasting, delicate and delicious meat, often called the Angus of Sheep, It is a high-quality lean meat that's loaded with more good-for-you nutrients than any other meat on the market.

All of our lamb is pasture raised, grass fed and grass finished. Grass fed lamb has more Omega 3 fatty acids and beta-carotene than the conventional grain fed lamb. It is also a low fat and high protein food.

We specifically raise dorper hair sheep and here is why:

  • They are a fast growing, meat producing sheep breed that thrives in a variety of grazing conditions.

  • Dorper sheep are highly regarded as a prime lamb, as they are fast maturing with a high-quality carcass and excellent conformation and fat distribution.

  • No need for shearing, making them a low maintenance sheep breed.

  • Their meat is mild flavored, delicate, and delicious.
