Beef Tallow, Rendered

$15.00

Our tallow comes from 100% grass-fed & grass-finished beef that is raised here on our ranch, from cattle that have been raised on pasture and allowed to roam free their entire life. This tallow has not been altered, it is simply purified beef fat. It's ideal for cooking or baking because of its high smoke point. The smoke point of tallow is around 250°C or 400°F so you’ll need some serious heat before this oil burns. It's also an excellent moisturizer, perfect for making cosmetics like lotions and soaps. Our pure beef tallow is high in vitamins A, D, K, and E. $15/Pint

Beef Tallow Info:

Some call it tallow, some call it dripping, and people-in-the-know call it the secret ingredient.

Tallow contains Choline (an important macronutrient for energy and muscular contractions), Vitamin D (essential for bone growth and calcium absorption), Vitamin E (an antioxidant that helps prevent cell damage), Selenium (an immune system booster and antioxidant), Cholesterol (an essential fat used for Vitamin D, hormone, and cell membrane manufacture). And the animal fat is a great transporter of fat-soluble vitamins.

Historically, the homesteaders and pioneers used tallow for all their cooking needs. Tallow, being nearly the only fat they had, also made the precious commodities of soap and candles. Having an abundance of CLA's from being pasture-raised, makes this product extra nourishing for your skin. Old fashioned skin care balms were also made from tallow.
